Sacred monster
SACRED MONSTER is a project of celebration and education around the groundbreaking French artist Jean Cocteau (1889—1963), his friends, and the Severin Wunderman Collection.
It is the brainchild of Chloë Cassens — Wunderman’s grand-daughter and a life-long scholar of Cocteau.
SACRED MONSTER is published on a biweekly basis. On the 1st of each month, you’ll receive an essay centered around the works of Jean Cocteau; on the 15th, an essay about a related cultural moment of Chloë’s choosing. Subscribe by visiting www.sacred-monster.com or clicking the button below.
